Each year the Good Food Awards conducts a blind tasting before awarding a select few Winners across a dozen categories of food. Finalists and Winners must also meet the environmental and social responsibility standards of the Good Food Awards.
Big Spoon Roasters Co-Founders Mark and Megan Overbay had the honor of traveling to Portland, OR this past weekend to accept the award and participate in the Good Food Mercantile with many of their peers. At the Mercantile, Mark and Megan were able to connect with good friends and long-time partners such as Jacobsen Salt Co., French Broad Chocolates, Girl Meets Dirt, and Blake Hill Preserves. They also met a number of crafters, retailers, and friends of the Good Food community who are sure to be allies in the work to make the world a better place through amazing, sustainable food.
