Our Cherry Chocolate Bar blends our fresh-roasted peanut butter with whole roasted Organic pecans, tart Michigan cherries, dates, French Broad 68% dark chocolate, crispy house-baked granola, non-GMO plant-based protein, and raw Organic wildflower honey. With fresh-roasted peanut butter as the main ingredient, these bars are not only delicious, but also packed with plant-based protein, powerful antioxidants, and heart-healthy fiber. 

Grown by a close-knit community of farmers on North Carolina’s Coastal Plain, our High-Oleic Runner peanuts are 30% higher in heart-healthy fats than other peanuts and are great sources of protein, iron, calcium, magnesium, and the antioxidant resveratrol. These High-Oleic peanuts also offer natural protections against oxidation (rancidity) and the mold that can produce aflatoxin. Every lot of peanuts we receive is also thoroughly tested and given a clean bill of health before we accept it into inventory.    

Sourced from a single family-owned orchard in South Texas, our Organic pecans represent the sweet, buttery standard of the South’s favorite nut. In addition to being pure comfort food, pecans contain unsaturated fats that can help lower blood cholesterol, fiber to promote good gut health, and vitamins and minerals proven to help lower blood sugar levels and promote brain function.  

Our Organic raw wildflower honey comes from the Sunderbans National Park in Bengal, India, which also serves as a sanctuary for the region’s tigers and other wildlife. Among its many nutritional benefits, raw honey contains inflammation-fighting polyphenols, phytonutrients that boost the immune system, and natural anti-bacterial enzymes. 

Do you need us to remind you of the health benefits of dark chocolate? No problem! Dark chocolate offers more anti-inflammatory compounds (antioxidants) than “superfruits” such as acai and blueberries. It is also a rich source of heart-healthy fiber, potassium, phosphorus, zinc, and selenium. 

ABOUT OUR BARS
In the early 2000s, our Co-Founder Megan was a triathlete looking for a nutritious energy bar that tasted great, was easy to digest, and was made with whole, real ingredients in line with her values. Nothing checked all these boxes, so she made her own with natural peanut butter, whole grains, and dried fruit. When she and Mark started Big Spoon Roasters, she of course started using Big Spoon nut butters in her bar recipes, and our first line of craft-made, small-batch bars was born. 

We will always believe that balanced, on-the-go nutrition doesn't have to sacrifice integrity, flavor, or freshness. The proof is in our fresh, handcrafted nut butter bars, which are still made in small batches with our own fresh-roasted nut butter and the best whole ingredients out there. Our handcrafted nut butters and bars are freshly made in small batches and typically ship in 2-3 business days. We offer real–time shipping rates for services including USPS Priority Mail, USPS Retail Ground, FedEx – 2nd Day, and FedEx Home Delivery. These options include estimated shipping and arrival dates, but please note that delivery dates are not guaranteed, as they are subject to change by carrier. We don’t add any handling fees to your orders, and we work hard to negotiate the best shipping rates available.
