Wholesale Shipping Made Better

At Big Spoon Roasters, retail partners are essential parts of the values-based food system we’re trying to grow and sustain. To better support the incredible stores, cafés, and markets that share our products with their communities, we offer a tiered shipping program designed to deliver value and transparency in our direct distribution model.

Our new structure rewards loyal and growing partnerships while keeping ordering simple and flexible.

Standard Shipping

Most retail partners fall into our Standard Shipping tier (based on the following order amounts): 

    • Minimum Order: $150 
    • $150 - $499.99: Shipping equals 18% of invoice total

    • $500+: Free Shipping

This tier makes it easy to plan ahead and unlock discounted and free shipping.
 

VIP Shipping

Our VIP Shipping tier recognizes partners who consistently support Big Spoon Roasters through strong ordering patterns and timely payments. 

VIP partners are selected based on factors such as: 

    • Order frequency and recency 
    • Purchase volume 
    • Product assortment 
    • Timely payment

VIP Benefits (based on the following order amounts): 

    • No minimum order quantity 

    • $0  $299.99: Shipping equals 15% of invoice total 

    • $300+ : Free Shipping 


Local Retail Partners

Retail partners located within a 20-mile driving distance of our Hillsborough, NC, headquarters qualify for our Local Customer shipping tier.

Local Retail Partners enjoy (based on the following order amounts): 

    • No minimum order quantity 
    • $0 - $299.99: Shipping equals 15% of invoice total
      • $300+: Free delivery

     

    Free Local Pickup

    Any retail partner may select Free Local Pickup at our Hillsborough, NC, HQ and production facility. Pickup times are Monday – Friday, 9am – 3pm. 

    For Free Local Pickup orders: 

      • No minimum order quantity 
      • Simply select "Free Local Pickup" at checkout 

       

      SHIPPING DAMAGE POLICY

      We take great care in preparing every order. Each package leaves our facility in excellent condition and is carefully padded to help prevent breakage during transit. 

      Despite our best efforts, damage can occasionally occur while shipments are handled by third-party carriers. If your order arrives with damage or breakage, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help. 

      Please email orders@bigspoonroasters.com with: 

        • Your invoice or order number

        • Photos of damage incurred

        • Itemized list of affected products

      To ensure we resolve issues promptly, all damages must be reported within five (5) days of delivery.

      HOLIDAYS AND CLOSURES

      Our HQ and production facility is open, processing and shipping orders Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.  

      Orders are not processed, fulfilled, or shipped during: 

        • Weekends (Saturday - Sunday)
        • Memorial Day
        • Juneteenth
        • Independence Day
        • Labor Day
        • Thanksgiving/"Black Friday"
        • Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
        • Annual Winter Break (December 24 - January 1)
        • New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
