Wholesale FAQ
TURNAROUND TIME
Once orders are approved (please allow 24 business hours), we fulfill most orders in 3-5 business days.
Orders that include 4lb, 8lb, and 40lb bulk nut butters have a fulfillment timeline of 7-10 business days, depending on our production schedule. We make to order!
Please let us know if your order is time-sensitive.
SAMPLING
If you're looking to expand your Big Spoon lineup and would like to try a recipe before ordering cases for your customers, we offer samples of our snack bars (single bar samples) and nut butters (in single 3oz mini jars) upon request. Please reach out to orders@bigspoonroasters.com with sample requests.
MINIMUM ADVERTISED PRICE (MAP) POLICY
We have a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) Policy to protect us and our retail partners (that’s you!) from unauthorized sales. The policy is required for all wholesale customers and excludes temporary price reductions (sales) and seasonal promos. To access the policy and MAP price list, click here.
SHELF LIFE AND FRESHNESS
To ensure customers receive the freshest product possible, we encourage you to order smaller quantities more often instead of “stocking up” for longer periods.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Our new tiered shipping system rewards strong partnerships while keeping ordering simple and accessible for everyone. Whether you’re placing relatively small orders or larger seasonal buys, this program is built to help you stock Big Spoon nut butters and bars with greater ease and efficiency.

INVOICING & PAYMENT
You will receive an invoice via email when your order is ready. If we are shipping your order, you will also receive an email with tracking information. The emails will go to the primary contact in our system for your business, so please alert us to any staff or contact changes.
Payment will process automatically when your invoice is due (based on the payment method and terms selected in your PencilPay credit application). If you selected Due on Receipt as credit terms, your method of payment will be charged before the paid invoice is sent. We will absorb the transaction fees for ACH payments, but transaction fees for credit card payments will be added to customer invoices.

SOCIAL MEDIA & PHOTOGRAPHY SUPPORT
We are also happy to provide photography for use on social media and/or your website. We are active and promote customers on Facebook and Instagram.
RETAIL PARTNER PROGRAM
We’re proud to fund up to two promotions per year for our direct retail partners (those who purchase directly from Big Spoon) through our Retail Partner Program. Participants have the option to sign up for two (of six) buy-in periods, in which they receive 15% off wholesale pricing, in exchange for passing those savings to their customers (offering a minimum 15% on-shelf discount) within seven days of delivery.
Retail partners may sign up for each year’s program each fall for participation in the following calendar year (for example, sign up in fall 2026 for promotions running in 2027). Applications open in late summer and are due by October 1. Announcements and updates about the program will be shared through our wholesale email list (opt-in here).
DEMO & EVENT SUPPORT
Demo support and special events are key to any retailer’s success, and we are experienced at engaging customers to generate excitement about our products and values.

ORDERING
Once your account setup has been completed, you will receive login information for our wholesale website, where you can order products and marketing materials, pay, and view your order history.
Our wholesale portal functions alongside our direct-to-consumer website to provide you with comprehensive information and streamlined purchasing, so please ensure your first step upon navigating to bigspoonroasters.com is to log in with your wholesale account credentials by clicking “WHOLESALE LOGIN” in the top right of our navigation header.
Wholesale products are available in the following quantities:

13oz Nut Butter jars (including Limited Batches) are available in 6-pack cases.

3oz Nut Butter jars are available in 12-pack cases.

3oz Nut Butter Variety 4-packs are available in 6-pack cases.

Bars are available in 12-pack cases.
We also offer individual sample jars and bars for retailers looking to test which products may be best for their customers.
STAY UPDATED
We send bimonthly emails to our retail partners with important information like new product releases, product or pricing updates, collaborative promotional efforts, proven sales strategies, and more. OIL SEPARATION
We don’t use any palm oil, hydrogenated oil, or other stabilizers to prevent natural oil separation. That’s a good thing, because those added ingredients are not good for you or the planet. Simply stir well to the bottom of the jar and enjoy! For more information about why we do not use palm oil, check out our blog post about it here.
Another reason to give our nut butters a good stir is that key ingredients (that make each recipe so delicious)—such as crystallized ginger, spices, sea salt, and coconut nectar—can sink to the bottom of the jar over time. When you stir, be sure to get all those bits at the bottom of the jar incorporated into the whole mix!
