Our June Community Blend donation partner was PORCH Hillsborough, a dynamic community of volunteers committed to fighting hunger in northern Orange County, North Carolina. From PORCH, more than 70 Community Blend jars were routed to Orange Congregations in Mission last month.
At the beginning and end of each nut butter batch, there is a tiny amount of excess nut butter that cannot quite fill a 13oz jar. Most companies would write these last few ounces off as “waste,” but we're committed to a zero-waste process that respects our handcrafted recipes AND the planet. To do this, we jar each bit of excess nut butter with harmonious recipes (think: Pistachio Crunch + Fiji Ginger or Toasted Coconut + Chocolate Sea Salt) to create one-of-a-kind blends that are uniquely delicious. Et voilà, our Community Blends!
