The connection from food to farm has never been lost on Regina Nekola Hild. Growing up on her family’s 200-acre centurion farm in Iowa, she learned the hard work that went into each ingredient on her plate. Regina spent much of these early years in the kitchen with her mother, where she excelled and discovered her passion for the culinary arts.
After beginning a career in business, Regina decided to pursue her passion for cooking and attended culinary school. After stints in kitchens like Dunwoody Bakery, Whole Foods Market, and Sprouts, she founded Regina’s Farm Kitchen in 2016 in her Dunwoody, GA, kitchen with a focus on making jams, spreadable fruits, and baked goods using locally grown Georgia produce. Her meticulously sourced ingredients and skill in the kitchen resulted in food with award-winning flavor (her Strawberry Blueberry Jalapeño jam won a coveted 2018 Good Food Award).
This month’s featured jam, Triple Berry Fruit Spread, is an homage to Georgia produce. Made with Georgia-grown blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and apples, this delicious jam offers complex berry flavor lightly sweetened with just a touch of Georgia honey. With a lovely spoonable texture, this jam is a perfect addition to scones, ice cream, and pancakes. We especially love it swirled into our yogurt and granola bowl with a heaping spoonful of our Peanut Pecan Butter.
